TAMSIN SALINGER

Tamsin Salinger is a textile designer based in London.

At the heart of Tamsin’s work is an instinctive love of colour and form. From dying cloth and mixing pigments, to sewing, painting and interiors, her journey towards textile design has been a natural progression. Coming from a family of artists and makers based in England and Ireland, her inspiration is eclectic, from the painterly to the sculptural, from architecture to traditional crafts.  Her style reflects this diversity and informs her designs which are rooted in geometry while retaining elements of the everyday.  The colourful graphic patterns are abstracted from her observations of both the built environment and the natural world around her.  She advocates for a more celebratory use of colour and pattern to  really catch the eye and make a home sing.  Her bold designs sit equally well in a modern or traditional interior, in both formal and informal settings. From this exploration of colour, shape and pattern, Tamsin has created a considered, unique and exclusive range of fabrics and complimentary homewares, from cushions and bags to lampshades and stationery.
